However, after we've ordered the food, the waitress informed us that they did not have any burger bread; It was really disappointing as we went there for the burger.
It was lunch time, on a Sunday, and there wasn't bread. How come there was no bread?? I would NOT recommend the place.
My sincere apologies for the lack of burger buns. I have spoken to the Manager and the chef and told them we MUST always have sufficient burger buns at all times. @ Barman: I totally agree with you, serving cold beer is a definite no-no. I have spoken to the staff and informed them that this should never happen. Please let me apologize for this and if I meet you in Carnegie's at all I will happily buy you a cold one on me! (although I must say I have always been given cold beer when I am in there - maybe I get preferential treatment!!!). I must say however that unlike some other places I could mention all our liquor is 100% genuine.

If you order beer, at the Qingdao Carnegie's (卡耐基), make sure they DO NOT open it until you check to see if it is cold. Been several times during happy hour and every time I ordered a "COLD" beer it was served warm! When I asked for a cold one to replace it, they simply said sorry. I also doubt whether the alcohol they use in the shooters is genuine.
The decor and facilities are top-notch. However, it is in a poor location, hidden in the back of ZhongLian Plaza, with overpriced food and drink accompanied by poor service! Carnegie's has NOT listened to the few customers it once had and that's why the place is dead!
Perhaps, Carnegie's Bar & Restaurant was doomed from the start! It all began the day they decided to have the local Expat Tabloid - RedSTAR do their marketing! It was hyped with bull[censored] reviews and ratings as Qingdao's Top Nightclub - Restaurant.
