Qingdao's international schools vary; the Accrediting Commission for Schools (WASC), working with schools in the East Asia Regional Council of Overseas Schools (EARCOS), provides evaluation and accreditation services.  If the international school's accreditation is good for three or more years you can be assured that the school has demonstrated their willingness to systematically assess the effectiveness of their organization for student learning, curriculum and instruction, support for student learning and resource allocation.  Being accredited by WASC validates the quality of the educational program and the school's records.
