Beike Biotechnology, based in Shenzhen, has closed its Stem Cell treatment facilities in Qingdao at ChengYang People’s Hospital. The Qingdao facility was able to accommodate up to 30 patients and their families. The facility boasted state-of-the-art stem cell & physiotherapy equipment along with a highly trained nursing staff and groundbreaking global medical team.
Beike Biotechnology Ltd. was founded in July 2005 with capital from Beijing University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and Shenzhen City Hall. Beike commercialized its stem cell technology that it had been researching since 1999 by extracting and cultivating stem cells from the umbilical cords of healthy newborns. Stem Cells are precursor cells that can be encouraged to form specific tissues. BeikeCell provides high quality conditioned stem cells to patients through IntraVenous (IV) drip, direct injection into the spinal canal via lumbar puncture, as well as surgery whereby stem cells are directly applied to injured sections of the spinal cord. Each application contains around 300,000 stem cells which have been multiplied and conditioned to form the building blocks of whatever is required – spinal cord cells, nerve cells, muscle tissue, etc.
