The Qingdao (Huangdao) Airport Shuttle Bus has three lines that run daily throughout the city. There are also public buses that provide routes to the Qingdao Airport. We would suggest that you take the Qingdao Airport Shuttle Bus rather than the city run public transportation for several reasons: (1) the public buses are often crowded and do not provide a place to store your luggage, (2) the travel time is significantly longer on public buses due to the large number of stops, (3) theft from pickpockets is far more prevalent on public transportation. If you decide to take a taxi it should cost around 60-100 RMB (depending on route, tolls, and time of day), the airport can be reached in about 45-60 minutes from the Central Business District. Qingdao City Map
