May 5th, 2009 Shimao Property Holding Ltd (0813.HK), a consortium led by its unit Shanghai Shimao Commercial Group (600823.SS), has acquired a commercial land site in Qingdao City for $134.9 million (920 million CYN). With a planned gross floor area of 240,000 square meters, it will include retail stores, an office building, hotel and home office components. Shanghai Shimao will hold 75% of the project and partner Qingdao Urban Development Group will own 25%.
