The Kiwi Cafe is located in Qingdao's Hong Kong Garden Area across the street from the Grand Regency Hotel.  Danny the New Zealand trained owner/chef puts together a modest menu with most of the Western favorites.  His hand baked goods including desserts and fresh bread made on-site daily are modestly priced and add the extra touch to give his food a "home cooked" taste.

Kiwi Cafe favorites include: eggs benedict, blueberry pancakes, poached eggs, and panini sandwiches.

咖啡真棒。Believe me this place is the real deal when it comes to antipodes cafe hangouts. Genuine well made coffee. And a cool vibe. Slow service just gives you more time for the vibe. 五星。:)

Kiwi Cafe (奇异咖啡厅) a great place to eat if you're not in a hurry and want somewhere to sit and pass some time. It's small but being not busy can be a bonus. Also, one of the few non-smoking places to eat. Food presentation and taste is excellent and prices competitive. Pancakes were a little dry and heavy for me.

Kiwi Cafe (奇异咖啡厅): The kitchen is too small to be efficient, I have experienced slow service when there has been more than three tables occupied at other times it is OK. The food quality and presentation though is excellent and the staff always friendly, beers are cold I will go there again.

Loved the food and will eat at Kiwi Cafe again! Service was great, friendly staff and owner.

Very difficult to find a good breakfast place in China, especially in smaller cities. Pancakes were awesome, fruit on top. My wife loves Eggs Benedict and gave them a high score. Service time normal. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere while we sipped on some fresh brewed coffee.

Don't bother going to Kiwi Cafe on weekends ~ incredibly slow service!

I went last weekend and even though I was warned that it might take 40 minutes, even after one full hour they haven't even started to prepare our food. No apology or nice helping attitude, pretty much just a "if you want to eat here then wait, if not then just leave".

Food might be good but not worth that service and that much waiting time.
