hi all, my name is josh, I am a state grade player from Australia who moved to Qingdao yesterday and am looking for some tennis mates and people to have a strong game with. I don't know the tennis situation here in Qingdao and would love to meet fellow players, both for social and competitive games.

Thanks! Are you sure the phone number is correct? I asked hotel rep to call and the number was not in service. Do you know how many courts they have and how busy they are? Are there any expats in Qingdao playing tennis?

My husband and me are both 3.5 USTA rated players. He plays both singles and doubles and I play doubles. Thanks again.

Hi Marina, I have just been looking for tennis courts in Qingdao to play at as I have recently moved to Qingdao.
Are you still in Qingdao as I would like to meet some decent players. I have seen your comment about being 3.5 USTA rated. I used to play at county level in the UK and I am very keen to start playing again. Thanks.

Peter and Carol, were you guys able to find a place to play tennis in Qingdao? I come to Qingdao for business on a frequent basis and would like to play. I am a USTA level 4 equivalent. Thanks.

Yeah, I called the Qingdao University of Science & Technology Gym and there's only one indoor tennis court. Cost 300rmb/hour, and you need to book in advance. There is no Expat tennis club here in Qingdao, nor many who play.

There's also professional courts not open to public, but since you're 3.5 USTA rated players, you might try going in person and see what they say. Here are the details: ChengJian Tennis Club, No.69 HeXing Road (城建网球俱乐部:和兴路69号 ), Tel(0532)8366-5 899. The private courts are located in the Taidong area.
