Korean Cuisine
Korean food, mostly based on rice, noodles, tofu, vegetables, and various meats, include number of side dishes (banchan) that accompany steam-cooked short-grain rice. Kimchi which is a fermented, spicy vegetable dish is usually served at every meal.
Korean cuisine usually involves extensive seasoning with fermented soybean paste, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, garlic, ginger, & red chili paste. Common Korean dishes include: Bibim guksu (비빔국수), Naengmyeon (냉면), Jajangmyeon (짜장면), Kalguksu (칼국수), Ramyeon (라면), Neobiani(너비아니)--pictured on the right, Banchan (반찬), Kimchi (김치), Tteok (떡), Hangwa (한과).
